Your new role
- Client Acquisition and Development:
- Identify and secure new clients, focusing on large corporates in the UK and global corporates in Europe.
- Target clients with strong credit profiles (primarily Investment Grade ratings) that align with the bank's strategy, product portfolio, and target geographies.
- Client Retention and Protection:
- Safeguard and maintain existing client revenue streams.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty through consistent engagement and service excellence.
- Revenue Growth:
- Expand revenue streams by cross-selling new products to existing clients.
- Develop and nurture ancillary commercial relationships to enhance client value.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Regularly update customers' risk profiles, documentation, and files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare necessary dossiers for discussion and approval of clients/deals in the appropriate Group Committees.
What you'll need to succeed
- Client Facing and Presentation Skills:
- Excellent client-facing skills.
- Strong presentation skills, both written and oral, with a keen attention to detail.
- Language Skills:
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong ability to liaise with multiple individuals across the organisation.
- Proven capability to build effective, long-lasting relationships.
- Work Ethic and Performance:
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality work under strict and competing deadlines.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure.
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
- Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of industry and strategic products, including syndicated structures, various levels of debt, M&A, and working capital structures and products.
- People and Stakeholder Management:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and motivating matrix teams.
- Ability to navigate the political environment effectively.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar front office, client-facing role.
- Proven experience in complex corporate or institutional relationship management.
