Summary
All of our transfers and referrals will be Consultant led, with the help of a skilled Transfer Practitioner team. The service will be delivered from two hubs; one based in Crawley, West Sussex and the other in Maidstone, Kent. The service leadership team will be based at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, Surrey but will be required to travel to the hub sites and to sites across the NHSE South East region as required. The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Adult Critical Care Transfer Service works alongside the Thames Valley and Wessex Adult Critical Care Transfer Service and South Central Ambulance Service to provide Adult Critical Care Transfer services across the NHS England South East region. This is a key leadership role for the development of an ACCTS within the KSS area. The service will provide adult critical care transfer services for the NHSE SE region alongside the Thames Valley Wessex (TVW) service hosted by Buckinghamshire NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to provide clinical and strategic leadership to establish the delivery of a high-quality ACCTS across the KSS area achieving strategic and operational objectives. This service will be delivered by RSFT as the host organisation working with delivery partners including the TVW ACCTS, South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) and the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). The post holder will utilise their clinical and specialist professional skills as a key member of the multidisciplinary ACCTS leadership team and will lead the development of the service, ensuring the clinical service delivers an effective and efficient service in line with the national service specification. The post holder will, alongside the Lead Consultant, also develop and deliver a robust governance structure for the new organisation ensuring that the clinical care delivered is of the highest quality and standardised in accordance with national guidance, policies and the National Service Frameworks.
