Summary

Work pattern: Monday - Friday 8 AM to 3:30 PM, Term-time onlyThis is a truly exciting opportunity to join a school on a continued improvement journey. The Governing Body are looking to appoint an experienced, committed, talented and enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher who will work alongside the Headteacher in leading the school on the next stage of its journey.
We are looking for an inspirational leader who has a track record of school improvement and has the ability to inspire and motivate pupils and staff to achieve the very best. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Assistant Headteacher who is looking for the next step in their career or a Deputy Headteacher seeking a new and exciting challenge.
The successful candidate will join an experienced and supportive leadership team and will work alongside a team of committed and caring staff, and motivated and enthusiastic pupils. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
• Drive, determination and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire bothstaff and pupils to reach the highest levels of achievement
• Outstanding teaching practice with a passion to help all pupils to be the best that they can be
• A track record at senior level of successfully implementing improvement strategies
• A clear commitment to the school’s vision, values and ethos
• Passion and desire to make a difference and a belief that education has the power to transform lives
• The ability to operate effectively and consistently at a strategic level whilst remaining in touch with day-to-day realities of the school
• A positive, can-do attitude and the desire to be involved in all aspects of school life
• A strong understanding of all pastoral and wellbeing systems and high-quality delivery
• A clear understanding of what excellence looks like
Specific responsibilities are pupil and staff wellbeing.
Strengths and experience of the successful applicant will almost certainly include an element of a pastoral/wellbeing role, however, a clear recognition of the importance of high-quality teaching and learning and skills, coaching and mentoring are required.
