Summary


An exciting opportunity has become available to work on the Switchboard at Castle Hill Hospital.

The post is to cover a rotational shift pattern on a Full time basis

You will be required to work a shift pattern that includes early, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays with unsocial hours enhancements (as per NHS employee terms and conditions) Flexibility is key as the team operates 365 days 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Salary: £23,615 PA PR -(Plus unsocial hours enhanced pay) Access to salary sacrifice vehicle lease scheme and other staff benefits.

We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual who possesses excellent communication skills who works well under pressure. You will require a confident telephone manner and proven customer service skills.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

The switchboard service is essential to the smooth running of the operation of our hospitals at both Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary, which is one of 27 Major Trauma Centres in England.

You will be responsible for handling calls in a professional manner, enabling patients and colleagues to get through to the right number. Responding effectively to emergency calls, alarm activations and incident procedures in a calm and professional manner.

Additional training will also be given on the Portering and non-patient transport desk which also operates from the switchboard area.
