Summary

The post holder will support the Trust to acquire, implement and sustain the required cost- effective digital systems to provide excellent clinical care to its service users, in conjunction with its partners throughout the wider health and social care community. The post holder will provide clinical guidance and advice on the configuration, implementation, and adoption of the Trusts digital solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality health and care services. The post-holder will ensure the implementation of the digital strategy supports the clinical aims of the organisation and improves outcomes for our patients, staff and NHS They will contribute to the development of new models of care and advise on the role that digital technology can play in the Trusts clinical service review and transformation plan. The post holder will provide clinical advice and guidance, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate and successful use of digital solutions and systems within GEH, facilitating safe and effective care. The post holder will promote innovation and champion the development of a clinically appropriate digital culture, as an enabler of transformation and quality improvement across the organisation. The post holder will be one of the key GEH representatives in the internal, local, regional and national digital collaborations. Responsible for strategic and operational leadership in the development, deployment, re- engineering, optimisation and integration of clinical information systems to support patient care. Provide clinical leadership to advance nursings utilisation of clinical information systems consistent with the goals and objectives of GEH nursing initiatives. Translate clinical needs into the Digital Strategy and communicate the aims of the strategy to peers through a variety of methods. Lead on the assessment of requirements and implementation of strategies to meet current needs, future direction for informatics within the Trust and across transitions through the continuum of care. Lead the Transformational Change agenda with nursing and clinicians, driving key change initiatives and projects to build productive, sustainable, fit for purpose digital clinicalenvironments. Advise key stakeholders on implications of national and local digital policy/strategy development from a clinical perspective. Act on their own initiative to deal with contentious and sensitive issues.
