TU Online Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Teesside University with a dedicated focus upon providing flexible online learning opportunities across a range of 100% online courses, from degrees to doctorates.

TU Online Ltd is looking for an online Tutor to support and deliver teaching upon the BA (hons) Childhood Studies (top up).

Successful candidates will be expected to have a First degree in Childhood Studies, Early Childhood Studies, Children and Early Childhood or Children and young People, a Masters degree in Education and a relevant teaching qualification.

The successful candidate will be expected to have: the ability to teach at undergraduate level, the ability to contribute to programme development and design, the ability to supervise students on independent study projects at undergraduate level and practice experience in the Early Years/Childhood Studies Sector. In addition, you will be expected to have an appreciation of how adults learn, an appreciation of study skills and a commitment to student-centred learning.

You will need to possess the ability and willingness to promote the learning of adults through online based tuition methods and the ability to use information and communication technology in teaching and supporting students along with having experience in best practice online teaching and pedagogy. Ideally candidates will have experience in, virtual learning environments / learner management systems and the higher education sector.

There are currently two positions for this post, please indicate on your application form which position you are applying for:-

1 X 1 Full time, Permanent position

1 x 1 Full time, Fixed term for 12 months

The role is predominantly working from home however there will be a requirement to work from Campus when on an adhoc basis to attend meetings, training etc.
