Key Responsibilities:

Induction of Individuals in Custody

* Provide Information: Be the first point of contact for individuals in custody, delivering clear and concise information about
the services available to them.
* Document and Record Keeping: Ensure all induction processes are accurately documented, keeping records up-to-date and compliant
with legal standards.




Triage and Needs Assessment

* Initial Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify the immediate needs of individuals upon entry, ensuring no urgent issues
are overlooked.
* Prioritise Needs: Evaluate and prioritise care, ensuring prompt attention to critical needs and making timely referrals to the
right services.
* Referral Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external services to ensure individuals receive the necessary support.




Support and Advocacy

* Provide Support: Offer non-judgmental, empathetic support to help individuals navigate services and understand the processes
affecting them.
* Advocacy: Act as an advocate, ensuring that the needs of individuals are recognised and addressed by working with professionals
and agencies.




Communication and Collaboration

* Interagency Communication: Maintain effective communication with professionals and agencies involved in individual care and
management.
* Collaborative Working: Partner with colleagues and external services to create a coordinated and supportive environment, while
respecting confidentiality.
