Summary

We seek to appoint a Learning Advisor (Cover Supervisor) to join our fantastic team at Tewkesbury Academy.As a Learning Advisor, you will need to cover a range of subjects and deliver pre-prepared work to classes in the absence of the teacher. The successful candidate will be able to think on their feet and show authority in the classroom, managing student behaviour effectively.
Suitable candidates will enjoy working with young people, be flexible and calm in their manner and possess a good sense of humour. Experience of working in secondary education is desirable but not essential. This role may be suited to anybody considering a career in teaching and there may be possibility of support from the Academy to obtain teaching qualifications. Other duties may include supporting the work of classroom teachers when not deployed directly covering a class, assisting in the school pastoral unit and administration duties. This is a Fixed Term Contract until August 2025.Tewkesbury Academy is a successful 11-18 community school with excellent facilities.
