The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a breakfast club server with the experience of working with children. The school is looking for someone who can assist with the provision of a healthy breakfast and engage and promote play, maintaining a high quality stimulating learning environment, whilst at the same time managing behaviour to meet our school expectations.
At St.Mellons we understand that all members of staff play have a role in ensuring our pupils make the best possible progress whilst at our school, as happy and healthy individuals. This is a very important part of our free breakfast club, which we are looking to further develop.
The successful candidate would have the responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of the children who attend. They will need to communicate with teachers and LSAs if there are any problems or concerns, and will need to attend training in areas such as food hygiene, first aid and safeguarding.
We would be looking for the successful candidate to demonstrate a great deal of pride in the breakfast club.

The team at St. Mellons Primary School is dedicated, hardworking and supportive. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of this team, providing enthusiasm, humour and a determination to support each other in providing an excellent breakfast experience for our pupils.
The children at St. Mellons CiW School are joyful, determined and successful learners. They would like a member of staff who is kind, patient, funny and caring. The successful candidate will enjoy working with many children.

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
