The Opportunity:
The University of Edinburgh is looking for a methodical candidate to accurately sort, transport and re-shelve all circulated library materials in their appropriate locations within the Main Library, providing all users with quick and easy access to the resources they need. This role will retrieve physical items from Main Library collections to support other Library services including Scan & Deliver and Interlibrary Loans services.
Two posts are available part-time (15 hours per week) working year-round and is based fully on campus.
Position One has a working pattern of:
Thursday-Monday 15:00-18:00
Position Two has a working pattern of:
Monday-Friday 08:30-11:30
Your skills and attributes for success:
Excellent attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy and a methodical, flexible working manner
Demonstrable ability to recognise and interpret complex alpha-numeric sequences
Demonstrable ability to work alone and as part of a team
