Summary


We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join the Dorset Pain Management Service. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Multi-Disciplinary Team of Pain Specialists working with patients living with persistent, non-malignant pain.

Using a holistic, bio-psycho-social approach we provide individual interventions and group programs to enable patients to lead a full and meaningful life whilst managing their pain condition.

The post advertised is for as full time 37.5hr contract but part time will be considered.

The Dorset Pain Management Service is county wide working out of various locations. We are vibrant and forward thinking using evidence based practice to help our patients take back control of their lives.

Full training and support will be provided.

The post holder will join a large established team covering West and North Dorset. We have other Specialist Physio’s, Psychologists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses and Pain consultants.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

To provide a high quality person centred approach to care delivery which always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.

To provide specialist care and interventions, assessments, treatments and managing patients on a caseload, as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.

To provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of patients / service users.

To devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.

To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.

Provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
