Summary

Dispatch Picking & Packing Assistant
Lytham St Annes
37.5 hours per week - within department working hours of Monday to Sunday- 6am-10pm
Temporary Contract until 4th January 2025
£11.44 per hour


We are looking for hardworking and motivated individuals to join our dynamic and fast-growing Dispatch operation as Picking and Packing Assistants. The department oversees the replenishment of our stores along with the delivery of customer orders placed through our Website & Mail Order channels such as Next and Very.

As a Dispatch Picking and Packing Assistant, you will be responsible for fulfilling orders in an efficient manner, ensuring our customers and stores receive their order presented to our high standards and set guidelines. In this role you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shifts.



Role and Responsibilities

Picking items for dispatch.
Matching items to the correct customer order.
Checking the item condition prior to dispatch.
Following set packing guidelines.
Correctly processing order labels for dispatch as per shipping requirements.
Support carrier loading procedures.
Matching our volume targets to ensure all orders are dispatched on the required day.
Supporting with packaging deliveries and packaging requests.
Ensuring all working areas are kept in a safe & tidy condition.
(Duties will rotate between picking, packing and despatching of orders across all despatch channels).

Skills & Experience Required

Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Transferable skills and experience from similar fast paced, target driven environments.
Punctual, enthusiastic and able to work at a fast pace.
Good rapport building skills and the ability to be adaptable.
Works well in a team but have good initiative to work alone.
Highly organised, self-motivated and hardworking.
A basic understanding of computers to operate the labelling process.
A keen eye for detail.
