Applications are invited for the post of Camera Enforcement Technician within the Specialist Support, Planning and Operations team. The role is based at Wynyard Park and involves travel around the Cleveland Police Area.
The post holder will identify speeding vehicles, make prosecution decisions, operate traffic speed detection cameras and deploy other roadside traffic monitoring devices. They will record, interpret and process data from the equipment and initiate action in accordance with Force policy and procedure, providing a quality service that ensures fair and equal treatment for all.
They will also provide first line fault diagnosis for the equipment.
Applicants should have a good standard of education particularly in English and Maths, be IT proficient and be able to demonstrate experience of identifying, analysing and presenting documentary evidence in a precise manner.
Previous experience working within an enforcement environment and an understanding of Road Traffic Legislation with regards to speed limits would be an advantage although not essential. Applicants must hold a category D1 driving licence.
