Summary
Day to day management of the Stores, Distribution and Procurement (SDP) team. Maintain the EMIS drug catalogue, complete risk assessment tool before addition of new items. Access RX extend for procurement data. Managing medicine shortages, recalls and contract claims as per SOPs. Responsible for ensuring all staff working in the SDP area have appropriate training plans and are appropriately trained and signed out. Act as an Educational Supervisor for pre-registration pharmacy technicians if required by the course provider. Lead on waste disposal activity with the pharmacy department in accordance with department, trust and environmental procedures. Support the implementation of the pharmacy strategy and new ways of working. Achieve team and personal objectives agreed during the appraisal process with Line Manager. Attend procurement meetings in the absence of the pharmacy operational manager. Act as a role model to ensure team members provide a consistent and high-quality standard service in line with trust values. Carries out line management supervision of designated pharmacy support workers and complete records in line with trust procedures. To participate in recruitment and selection of the SDP team.
