We have a vacancy in our Band 5 rotation based at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Trafford General Hospital. With a commitment to multi-disciplinary working to achieve the best possible care to our patients, you’ll join a dedicated integrated therapy team alongside physiotherapists, speech & language therapists, and Rehabilitation Assistants. Moreover, using your practiced knowledge of occupational therapy assessment & treatment technique, you’ll provide expert advice to ensure our patients gain full understanding, cooperation, compliance, and consent.

Importantly, with a recognised degree in occupational therapy or equivalent & registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council, you’ll monitor & review occupational therapy care plans against outcome measures & adjust care plans to facilitate achievement of goals.

With strong organisational, planning & prioritisation skills, you’ll maintain accurate & comprehensive records of assessment & treatment in line with British Association of Occupational Therapy national standards & local policy.

You’ll effectively examine & assess patients, identifying their problems & needs ensuring that medical, psychological, social, environmental & cultural factors are taken in to account.

What’s more, with a flexible attitude & the ability to adapt working in different specialties & different environments, you’ll maintain a calm & professional approach to all duties participating in weekend rota.

It goes without saying, as a naturally empathetic individual with excellent communication & interpersonal skills, you’ll build rapport & demonstrate compassion towards patients & carers, providing effective advice to individuals during difficult circumstances.

Finally, as a problem solver, with well-developed concentration & analytical skills, you’ll utilise examination & assessment findings to competently plan & carry out realistic programmes of treatment from a range of therapeutic options appropriate to each patient using evidence-based practice
