An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiasticClinical Psychologistto join the Berkshire CAMHS Anxiety Disorders Treatment Team(ADTT).


BHFT CAMHS ADTT membersare passionate about using individualised and formulation-led evidence-based approaches to help children, youngpeopleand families.Weprovide specialist assessments and treatment for children and young people suffering with anxiety disorders, OCD and Tic Disorders across Berkshire. The ADTT team prides itself on our inclusive practice, particularly our work with neurodivergent families. Our team has good research links and is pleased to offer training placements to Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Trainee CBT Therapists and Specialist Psychiatry registrars. As well as a culture of adult learning, we also have a compassionate ethos within the team which permeates throughout ourworkand which is remarkedupon by all clinicians who work with us.


The post holder will provide high quality safe, effective, efficient, andtimelyassessmentsand treatmentsforyoung peoplewith anxiety disorders, OCD andTic disorders.


This role may particularly suit a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist as there area number ofother supportive Clinical Psychologists in the team with experience of supporting Clinical Psychologists with their career development.






• Conduct specialist assessments and develop a clear and detailed formulation ofchildren and young people’spresenting difficulties and/or the systemic issues present
• collaboration withchild and family, to support recovery and improve quality of life.

• Deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions using a range of psychological techniques and modalities.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives to ensure the delivery of integrated and holistic client care.  

• In line with experience and role development plans, provide supervision and mentorship to junior clinicians and trainees, contributing to their professional development and enhancing the treatment they offer.  

• Actively engage in thequalityimprovement andservicedevelopment ofCAMHSservice

1.Achieved doctorate level qualification in Clinical Psychology


2.Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC


3. Evidence of interest in using cognitive behavioural therapyand systemic approaches with children, youngpeopleand families


4.Evidence of training and interest inworking withanxiety disorders, OCD or Tic disorders


5. Experience of workingeffectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
