Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

QTS or equivalent.

Mathematics or other relevant degree.

Good subject and curriculum knowledge.

High expectations, and the belief that all students, whatever their background, can achieve their full potential.

Ability to build positive working relationships.

Demonstrates passion and desire for their subject to inspire and enthuse students of all abilities.

Good sense of humour and perspective.

Ability to manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.

To teach Mathematics and other subjects as may be required.

To assume the responsibilities of the role of Group Tutor, as required, and to support the Assistant Vice Principal / Learning and Pastoral Leads in the provision of pastoral care and guidance for the students in your care.

To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses and schemes of work, Y7-Y11, in the subject area.

To participate in the academy’s programmes of professional development and ensure the levels of professional preparedness necessary to fulfil the academy’s requirements.

To assist the Head of Faculty and those colleagues with responsibilities in the effective management of the faculty area.
