Summary
Title: HGV Driver / LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver The Best Connection is excited to be recruiting for a Class 1 Driver on behalf of our client based in Barry. This role involves delivering materials to various sites across the region, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers seeking competitive pay and consistent work with a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle. Follow delivery schedules precisely and complete all necessary paperwork. Communicate effectively with site managers and clients to ensure smooth deliveries. Perform routine vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance needs. Keep your vehicle clean and organised. Adhere to all health and safety protocols. Requirements: A valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence. Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. - Previous experience in delivering construction materials is desirable. Strong understanding of safe loading practices and securing cargo. Good geographical knowledge of the Barry area and ability to plan efficient routes. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate of £15.00 per hour, with an enhanced rate of £18.00 per hour Nights out paid at £30.00 per night. Consistent, ongoing work with potential for permanent placement. Weekly pay, ensuring you are rewarded promptly for your efforts. 28 days paid annual leave pro-rata (inclusive of statutory holidays). Access to pension contributions. Location: Barry
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (plus £18.00 per hour after 10 hours per day)
