Summary
Riverside Surgery, High Wycombe, GP Job Description. Position: Salaried GP with a view to Partnership Sessions: 4-6(negotiable) Salary: Negotiable Annual leave: 7 weeks pro-rata (includes study leave, which we dont differentiate) Closing date: 31/10/2024 Riverside Surgery serves approximately 11,000 patients in High Wycombe. We are looking for a salaried GP with a view to Partnership, offering between 4-6 sessions (negotiable) with a view to start immediately. You would be joining a strong team of 5 GP partners, 1 Salaried GP and an excellent nursing team who lead on diabetes, asthma, COPD and minor illnesses. Surgery begins with everyone helping telephone triage between 8:00 9:00 am. We have moved to a triage based system to help manage demand and tackle a previously high DNA rate. Therefore patients who ring in will be rung back by a doctor or practice nurse, who will then triage into appointments on the day if needed. This is a training practice and you may be timetabled to debrief the learners in which case appointments will be blocked to give you the time for this. The whole team meets at 10:30am for real coffee and 1.30pm for lunch. This enables us to support each other and discuss interesting clinical issues as well as supporting the GP Registrars and FY2s. We have regular meetings with the Health Visitor and Midwife. We meet with the District Nurse and Palliative care team. Our clinical system is EMIS and we are currently using DOCMAN 10. We have a cloud based phone system called Babblevoice which will dial a phone number from the Emis record. We use AccuRx to text patients and for them to send in photos. This also allows telephone consultations. We are a GMS Practice and therefore offer the BMA salaried doctors contract.
