Summary
The post holder is required to: The post holders will work closely with the consultant on the wards. The post holders will provide specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and aftercare services to people aged 18 and above admitted to the ward. The Post holders will participate in the daily MDT huddle. The Post holders work will involve assessing new admissions, considering their mental and physical health, diagnosing and formulating management plans and risk assessments of newly admitted patients and on-going review of established in-patients. The Post holders will be expected to attend professionals meetings of complex patients on the ward, as necessary. The post holders will provide clinical leadership to junior medical staff. The post holders will participate in planning and developing local Mental Health Services in line with the CDS aims and to contribute constructively to improving the standards of mental health care offered by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The Post holders will be expected to liaise with other agencies in a professional capacity. The Post holder will be expected to form good working relationships with local GP surgeries. The Post holder will be also expected to obtain s12(2) approval and maintain this.
