The role
As a Change Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Babcock provides services including fleet time engineering, facilities management, waterfront services, logistics and transport within an agreed operating budget, firmly focused on continuous and sustainable improvement in warship and submarine support.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for implementing and managing a robust change management and variation capture system, which meets the requirements of the business and customer and coaching its users to a proficient level.

  • Provide direction and guidance to project teams to deliver support and solutions that meet the business objectives.
  • Implement Change Management policies / procedures / process and instructions, maintaining Change governance arrangements through the project lifecycles
  • Plan and conduct Change workshops and facilitate approval boards
  • Management of Change data, provision of insights and quality assurance of reporting
  • Lead and manage a team of Change co-ordinators
  • Establish good internal and external relationships with all stakeholders.


This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home. This role is based at Clyde/ Faslane and requires regular travel to our satellite office at Glasgow Airport on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Change Manager

  • Recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector.
  • Experience of implementing Change Governance, Change Management methodologies, processes, systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage effective relationships with project stakeholders and interfacing functions.

Qualifications for the Change Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
