The role
As a Vehicle Workshop Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an opportunity to help provide industry leading engineering and maintenance support to the London Fire Brigade.

Day-to-day, you'll manage 10 employees, focussing on resource management, technical utilisation, workshop productivity, vehicle off road (VOR) reduction and health and safety policies and compliance.

  • Inspecting vehicles and understanding requirements
  • Issuing work
  • Insuring work is carried out correctly - ensuring compliance to VOSA and CFOA
  • Providing training where needed
  • Continuous improvement

This role is full time, 41.5 hours per week and is based on site at Ruislip. This is a shift role, one week on early shift (6am - 2.30pm) and the other on the late shift (1.30pm - 10pm). You would also be required to work 1 Saturday in 4.

Essential experience of the Vehicle Workshop Supervisor

  • Experience in repair of HGV
  • Held a supervisory role in a LGV workshop environment

Qualifications for the Vehicle Workshop Supervisor

  • IMI level 3
  • IRTEC or HNC related certification

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
