Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Network and IT Communications Manager to join our growing IT team.

This pivotal role is perfect for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to lead a team and be part of the the strategic management of our network and IT Communications systems.

As the Network and IT Communications Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure network systems that support our global operations. You will lead a team of IT professionals, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and efficient communication across all our platforms.

Key responsibilities include overseeing network security protocols, managing critical services, and optimising communication systems for scalability and performance. You will also play a critical role in disaster recovery planning and the implementation of new technologies that keep us ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, cyber security, and IT communications, along with excellent leadership and project management skills. You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex projects and provide innovative solutions that drive business growth.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of network and telecommunications systems across NHS sites, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure. You will oversee the deployment of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks, and telecommunications platforms, employing best practices and industry standards to optimize system efficiency and support the evolving needs of healthcare professionals and patients.



In addition to managing infrastructure, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to enhance network and telecommunications security. You will develop and implement robust security policies, protocols, and procedures, leveraging advanced technologies and threat intelligence to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and NHS Digital Data Security and Protection Toolkit.



You will deputise for the Senior Manager, Networks and IT Communications where required acting as their second in command. You will also play a key role in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, collaborating closely with internal departments, external vendors, and industry partners to align network and telecommunications strategies with organizational goals and priorities. Your ability to communicate effectively and build consensus will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and fostering productive partnerships.
