Summary
Care Home Manager (Nursing)
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Salary: £55,000 per year (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role
Rated "Good" by the CQC across all categories, the home creates a positive atmosphere where residents feel at ease. Daily activities include outings, themed events, and visits from entertainers, ensuring a vibrant and engaging community.
As the Care Home Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring the home provides high-quality care while maintaining financial targets and full occupancy. You will be responsible for regulatory compliance with the CQC and will work closely with internal teams like the Deputy Manager, Administrator, and hospitality staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the staff team, fostering a culture of compassion and empathy.
• Recruit, train, and retain skilled care professionals committed to delivering person-centred care.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements, including CQC standards, are met.
• Manage the home’s budget, meeting financial targets and controlling costs.
• Implement a marketing strategy to maintain full occupancy and promote services.
• Build relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders.
• Oversee administrative tasks and ensure they are completed efficiently.
• Monitor and evaluate performance, implementing improvements where necessary.
• Manage risks to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Skills and Attributes
• Proven experience in managing a nursing home.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and experience in working towards "Outstanding" ratings.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with families, stakeholders, and professionals.
• A proven track record in marketing and running a successful care home.
• Passionate about providing high levels of person-centred care.
• Ability to drive the growth and development of the care service.
Education and Qualifications
• Preferably an NMC registered nurse (desirable but not essential).
