Full time 37.5 hours per week

We're looking for a Bank Reconciliations Advisor to join the Bank Reconciliations team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You'll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of 'co-operating to build more value for member-owners everyday'.
In this role, you'll keep on top of bank reconciliations, and make sure we are accounting for everything correctly for our clients, customers, and third-party investors. We'll look to you to resolve queries and build relationships with internal and external partners. It's a great opportunity for you to develop your skills as part of a busy team.
What you'll do
- Work within a team of advisers and seniors to review and reconcile multiple bank accounts daily
- Support in the production of period end balance sheet reconciliations, analysing variances and ensuring aged items are resolved
- Support in the production of query reports to partners, chasing up responses and acting on the information provided to resolve unreconciled bank transactions
- Make sure that financial integrity is maintained and that all reconciling items and adjustments are resolved within agreed deadlines
- Respond to queries via email, investigating issues and resolving them in a timely manner
- Assist in the production and review of process documentation and supporting with training
- Train new and existing team members, providing support and guidance
- Provide regular updates to team managers about any outstanding issues, and escalate problems where necessary to discuss resolutions
This role would suit people who have
- Experience working in bank reconciliations
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good general IT skills with the ability to use programmes in the Microsoft Office Package at a basic level (mainly Excel and Outlook)
- Great problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
