Summary

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer to support the Academic Director with the Physician Associate programmes. The post holder will lead the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of the Physician Associate Apprenticeship programme, ensuring IfATE’s Physician Associate Standard is met, and is aligned to the incoming GMC’s Physician associate and anaesthesia associate generic and shared learning outcomes (2022), to produce apprenticeship graduates who are equipped with the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours to work in the NHS.

The successful candidate will have a relevant higher degree together with a recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake on appointment.

Experience with teaching Physician Associates and/or medical undergraduates is important, as is an understanding of apprenticeships. You must have a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning and be able to work within a team, and individually. You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have strong planning and team management abilities.
