Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on an essential leadership role in a thriving, diverse and co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking for a dynamic, inspiring and highly capable Director of Learning Support (SENDCo) to lead a dedicated team, providing outstanding support for pupils with SEND and EAL. With leadership responsibilities across both the Prep and Senior Schools (3-18 years old), the Director of Learning support will work in partnership with the Senior Management Team, Directors of Faculty, and the pastoral team to ensure the needs of all learners are met. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with proven ability to assess, plan, support and monitor the progress of children with SEND. Leading a team including the Prep School SENDCo, the Head of EAL, two Teachers of SEND in the Senior School and a team of highly experienced HLTAs and TAs across the Prep and Senior School, the Director of Learning Support have strategic oversight of the school’s SEND and EAL provision.
