Contract: 5 hours per week (spread flexibly across Mon to Fri in order to keep the school site maintained)Contract Type: PermanentThe children, staff and governors of The Newlands Federation are looking for a caretaker to work in our friendly village school in Clandon. The Newlands Federation is a partnership of Clandon Primary School and our sister school, Shere Infants School & Nursery. The federation offers all staff the chance to collaborate across schools and the opportunity for career development within our partnership. 
Working for our School Business Manager, your responsibilities will include:• Basic grounds maintenance/gardening tasks including sweeping, removing leaves/debris
• Regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings
• Ensuring the site can be accessed safely during adverse weather conditions
• Moving furniture & supplies when required to support school activities• Occasional cover of daily unlocking & locking up of the Clandon school buildings when required.This a fundamental role in ensuring the safety of our staff, children & visitors & would suit an individual with practical skills who enjoys being active. Please be aware the role will involve some lone working, so does need someone who is comfortable with this and is self-motivated.The wellbeing of all staff is a core focus for us.
