Summary

Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust are looking for a Store Manager for our Tewkesbury Superstore to lead a team of volunteers, achieve set targets and create an exceptional experience for every customer. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, including some weekend working.

About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Every year, we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved. We have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funds that we need to provide this care.

As Community Superstore Manager you will:

provide inspired leadership and motivation to a team of volunteers and deputy managers
act as an entrepreneur to maximise every sales opportunity available, reviewing sales reports and making decisions based on the data and trends these reports show
create an exciting shop floor experience that makes Acorns stand out from our competitors
make decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising
manage collections and deliveries of furniture and large items
About You

Retail experience and experience of working towards targets
Experience of leading and motivating a team
IT skills
Happy to work weekends
Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling
Ability to coordinate a schedule of deliveries and collections
