Summary
The duties of the post include:
- Preaching, teaching, and leading worship as a youth minister
- Planning and executing the programs for the youth ministry of the church
- Devising, establishing, developing, and overseeing a mentoring program and meetings with young people to provide support, study the bible, and pray.
- Identifying and developing the gifts and talents of young people and volunteers, and encouraging active participation in church life, including youth-led services.
- To provide Pastoral Care for Youth
- Other duties as assigned by the General Overseer.
Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience with youths in a church setting (Required)
Education:
• Minimum of Secondary school certificate but a degree would be an added advantage
• Commitment to the church's vision and leadership.
• Experience in leading youth and young people as well as organising relevant activities for Youths.
• Awareness of youth and culture and issues facing young people.
• The ability to be empathetic and build trusting relationships with young people
• Strong Counselling Skills
• Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
