About the role:
Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Brand and Digital Marketing Coordinator to join Gentoo Homes' Sales and Marketing team based at our Doxford Park, Sunderland office. Gentoo Homes have developments across the North East from Darlington to the Tyne Valley. As part of the role, you will be required to visit the developments and whilst having access to your own vehicle would be beneficial, we do offer the use of company vehicles for travel.
We are keen to receive applications from dynamic and creative digital marketers with a specific focus on social media and content creation to join our Marketing team. The successful candidate will be results-driven with a desire to drive business growth in a competitive marketplace, who are particularly interested in business-to-consumer marketing.
Working hours: 36 hours per week Mon-Fri
The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.

As a key member of the team, you will support the delivery of our advertising campaigns, executing a content strategy to help grow brand awareness and drive lead generation.
You will assist in the design and creation of a new website.
Provide marketing support to assist with the generation of sales leads via a broad range of marketing activities.
Assist in managing and monitoring the Gentoo Homes part exchange portfolio which will include liaising and negotiating sales with agents, arranging surveys, inspecting properties, meeting customers and progressing the legal process to the final completion of the sale.
Work closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager to develop a range of creative digital communications and marketing campaigns which includes planning and collating content, updating online content and handling general marketing activities.
Utilise social media channels effectively to promote specific marketing initiatives, maintain ongoing market awareness and grow our online following. This includes developing current platforms and managing the content of all channels to generate engagement.
Update the company website – this includes conducting regular competitor research and developing new ideas on how to improve and innovate the platform.
Coordinate with a range of external agencies including photographers and videographers to create engaging content appropriate for digital platforms.
Coordinate all sales leads and enquiries via digital and social channels, ensuring they are responded to on time and information is passed on to the relevant teams across the business.
Assist in the production of marketing materials including brochures, posters, flyers, site signage and merchandise to promote our latest offers and initiatives.
Deliver and manage ad hoc Sales and Marketing projects and assist in undertaking PR and sponsorship initiatives to support the overall brand positioning.
What we are looking for:
You are required to hold a valid UK driver's licence.
It is highly desirable that you have a degree in Marketing or business, or a willing to work towards a relevant qualification, you must be able to demonstrate your experience using social media platforms in a professional capacity
Demonstrable experience in creating content for social media platforms, preferably with experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and a good understanding of copywriting.
A creative outlook, an eagerness to learn new skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for staying up to date with digital marketing trends, best practices and emerging technologies.
