Job Title: Unit Manager – Complex Care Unit
Location: Enfield
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (Supernumerary, with flexible rota management covering 7 days as needed)

Our client, a forward-thinking care provider in Enfield, is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Unit Manager to lead their complex care unit. Role Overview:
As the Unit Manager, you will oversee a complex care unit with 25 residents, managing a varied skill mix and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care. This role requires a leader who is clinically sound, up-to-date with innovative practices, and capable of adapting to a constantly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Management: Take full ownership of the complex care unit, managing a team of RNs, HCAs, and support staff. Ensure effective rota management and be prepared to cover the unit as needed.
• Clinical Oversight: Stay at the forefront of clinical excellence by implementing and maintaining innovative care practices. Oversee care for a range of conditions including tracheostomy, CPAP, spinal injuries, brain injuries, stroke care, and palliative care.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Clinical Lead, General Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, and in-house specialists (Physio, Dietician, Occupational Therapist) to deliver integrated care.
• Innovation: Drive the adoption of electronic medication management, electronic care planning, and other advanced tools such as Ally, Paincheck, and Whzam.
• Staff Development: Mentor and support your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Current Staffing:
• Two RNs per shift (with bed allocation of 15 and 10 or 1 RN and an NA)
• Six mixed-skilled HCAs
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a care setting.
• Strong clinical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of diverse care needs.
• Ability to embrace and implement innovative practices and technologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and managerial skills.
• Flexibility to work across 7 days and manage a varied rota.
