UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in the University of the Highlands and Islands.

Working within the Motor Vehicle and Body Repair department, which covers light vehicle maintenance, MOT’s, body repair and paint operations, your main duties will be supporting the department to facilitate the teaching and learning process in these specialist workshop areas.

You will be experienced in one of the above disciplines, having previously undertaken any of the following roles as either a car mechanic / light vehicle technician, master-tech, MOT tester, parts advisor, accident damaged body repairer or spray painter and paint refinisher.

You will have completed a typical trade apprenticeship i.e. SVQ Level 3 or other appropriate qualification, and/or you may have experience of working in a similar role in an educational establishment or industry (Note; Educational experience not essential).

The role involves supporting the department to prepare and provide general motor vehicle workshop activities across and range of vehicles and areas, store person duties such as efficient resourcing & procurement, and also the setup, maintenance and updating of typical workshop equipment.
