A typical day will include:
As a Support Worker at Summergil, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting their daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including teachers, therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We offer a variety of on-site and off-site activities tailored to meet individual needs and interests. These include sensory play, arts & crafts, nature walks, swimming, and horse riding. On-site, we use our outdoor spaces, therapeutic environments, and personalised rooms to create a comfortable, homely atmosphere. We also focus on community-based activities with regular trips to local attractions such as parks, shopping trips, and themed events.

- Lead and inspire staff to provide top-notch care.
- Promote dignity and respect for all individuals.
- Build supportive relationships among residents, staff, and families.
- Keep care plans and files accurate and up-to-date.
- Support and train staff to excel in their roles.
What We’re Looking For:
- A compassionate and caring nature.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and nights.
- Essential to hold an NVQ or QCF level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or be working towards.
- Knowledge of statutory regulations and safeguarding practices.
- Experience in Health and Safety risk assessments.
- Own transport due to rural location

This role involves regulated activity with children and young people. Therefore the role requires an enhanced DBS with a barred list check.
