Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

John Hampden Primary School are looking to recruit a permanent, part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start as soon as possible. The working pattern for this role is 8.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesdays, term time only.

Purpose of the Post:

The HLTA role is primarily to provide PPA cover as well as ad-hoc cover in the event of staff absence. There will be the opportunity to liaise about the work to be undertaken with the pupils whilst covering both short notice and planned cover. The PPA cover may include teaching (from a scheme) Music, RE, Languages, PE, etc.

• Have high expectations of pupils, themselves and others
• Show a commitment to the overall vision, values and ethos of the school
• Be a qualified HLTA or a very experienced Teaching Assistant who is willing to work towards the HTLA qualification
