Summary
UK Experience required.
To supervise and also participate to make sure that all work carried by the domestic staff are to your satisfaction. You will be responsible for the effective time management within your team under the supervision of the Manager. You will be responsible for the equipment used by the team ensuring that they are in good working order and report to the Maintenance person or Matron.
• To train new staff joining the team
• To supervise those in your team on a regular basis
• To provide a level of household and domestic provision to residents as individual people ensuring that their personal preferences are catered for.
• You will be responsible for ordering the cleaning material as required by the Home and to ensure that there is no wastage.
• To ensure that the residents laundry are done carefully and put away in their rooms. You need to ensure that the resident’s clothes are not ruined in the process of washing and drying. To ensure sufficient amount of bedding and is in good repair.
• To follow laundry policy re infection control and Health and Safety.
• To ensure that the dining room area is not cluttered and that clean/ironed table cloths are in place at all times.
• To ensure that the bed spreads are clean at all times and they are ironed before the beds are made up.
• To ensure that all stains on the chairs and carpets are removed
• To ensure that rooms are deep cleaned on a regular monthly basis
• To ensure that the infection control is maintained
• To ensure that staff use the correct chemicals for the correct job including colour coded equipment
• Actively support The Gold Standard Framework
• Any other duties asked by you by the Matron/Management.
• Ensure rooms have the correct items that match décor.
• Carry out appropriate audits.
you will also be required to be part of the cleaning team duties. The rate for cleaning duties will apply during this time
