Summary

A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.


To provide a safe, professional and effective Immunisation and Vaccination Programmes to internal and external clients.

Providing clinical services to support the delivery of the MFT Health and Wellbeing agenda.

To continually review and evaluate working practices to ensure best practice and clinical standards are maintained

Professional accountability for delivering high standards of clinical care.
Maintain EHW records in line with the Data Protection Act, Caldecott principles and local protocols.

Administration of an Immunisation and Vaccination programme in line with Department of Health Guidelines, the Green Book, Patient Group Directives, Trust Policy and local EHW procedures/protocols.

Assessing and interpreting the Immunisation and Vaccination requirements for different client groups.

Provide clinical services to support the Management of inoculation injuries in line with Department of Health Guidelines, Trust Policy, and local EHW protocols.

Assessing risks of an employee contracting a blood borne virus following an exposure incident and liaising with specialist teams for high risk incidents regarding treatment plans.

Support the delivery of the seasonal influenza vaccination programme, delivering clinics across the Trust or in specific external locations e.g. external client premises.

Undertake the role of ‘Duty Clinician/Coordinator’, which can include activities such as management of inoculation injuries, attending outbreak meetings, skin assessments, responding to management/employee queries, escalating queries that fall outside the remit of clinical adviser to EHW Adviser.

Provide clinical advice whilst supporting managers, employees and Infection Prevention Team during ‘outbreak’ situations in line with Trust Policy and local protocols.
