Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with active UK NMC registration.
- Experience in respiratory care and a solid understanding of related conditions and treatments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and patients.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of nursing practice and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients with respiratory conditions, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess respiratory status to ensure patients receive appropriate treatment and support.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on respiratory disorders, self-care techniques, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, protocols, and policies to improve respiratory care services.
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed effectively.
