The project aims to develop and test an image-driven approach for modelling and predicting spinal forces during daily activities in humans.
We will be combining state of the art imaging methods, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging and novel biplane video X-ray to measure the direct motion of the lumbar spine during different activities of daily living.

In your role, you will support and conduct research involving processing imaging data to generate subject specific human dynamic, spine movement and loading models. You will be supporting the data collection in our bespoke, in vivo, dynamic, dual plane X-ray imaging facility, where video X-ray is synchronised with motion capture. The resulting outputs and will provide inputs necessary to assess subject specific in-silico Spine models being developed at University of Exeter.

Your main duties would include:

• To undertake research, e.g. by planning, preparing, setting up, processing results and recording the outcome of experiments and desktop research in the MSKBRF X-Ray Lab.
