Five theatres run all day six days a week with 28 consultants operating here. The local catchment population is approximately 500,000 but specialist services are also offered more widely across the region. The upper limb service covers all aspects of upper limb care and accepts tertiary referrals from a wide region. The AOC is a high volume arthroplasty centre undertaking primary and complex revision work. North Bristol Trust is the regional Major Trauma Centre and the fellowship allows exposure to complex acute upper limb trauma as well as late reconstruction for trauma.
