Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Do you have a caring and compassionate nature? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Bank Care Assistants to join our team of professionals who provide exceptional care to residents in our Capel Grange Nursing Home, Newport.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced nursing team, provide personal care and support to residents, including personal care, build relationships with residents and their families, and learn about their unique needs and preferences.

What we need from you:

- Communication skills - this is a very social job. You will be working closely with other care assistants, nurses, domestic and kitchen assistants, so it's important that you can communicate well, ask questions, work well with others and share ideas. Lots of our residents enjoy a chat, we are looking for care assistants who can hold meaningful discussions with them; some residents love to reminisce, chat about their families and lives, so being a good listener is also key.

- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care - you will need to hold this qualification or be willing (and eager) to work towards it, with support from our dedicated learning and development team.

- Time management skills - this can be a very busy and demanding role, so you will need to manage your own time, work well as part of a team, use your own initiative to work alone and be able to prioritize your workload.

- Previous experience in a care setting or relevant field (e.g., healthcare, social work)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and empathetic nature

- Flexibility - this is a bank role, 0 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who wants extra hours to work around other commitments, cannot commit to contracted hours or shifts or wants flexibility on when they work!
