Summary
As a Band 5 Staff Nurse you will be working within our Critical Care Unit you will need enthusiasm, motivation, an ability to work within a team and a commitment to maintain a high standard of clinical practice and delivery of care. As a Band 5 Staff Nurse you will care for a range of high dependency and intensive care patients with support and supervision from senior staff. The Critical Care unit needs robust Band 5 Staff Nurses who maintain professionalism, who take pride in their work and the care they give to families. As well as being dedicated to their personal and professional development and the development of the unit.We are proud of our education programme within the Critical Care unit and as a new Band 5 staff nurse to Critical Care you can expect a 6 week supernumerary period of structured orientation and education. You will have a named preceptor/mentor for 6 months to 1 year for support and guidance. The education team within Critical Care offer teaching and support to all levels of staff both on an individual basis and in groups. They are dedicated to the training and development of all members of staff. This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified Staff Nurse to apply for the role, if there are 3 months or less until the end of your training or if you are an Adult trained nurse with appropriate Critical Care experience who wishes to expand their knowledge base.
