Summary

The Faculty is recruiting an individual to deliver a high quality service in order to support student experience.

This is a Fixed Term role until July 2025 working full-time.

The Academic Quality Team are responsible for delivering a high-quality service, coordinating, leading and delivering professional support and management services.

As an Academic Quality and Programme Development Assistant you will receive training on all relevant systems and procedures and work in accordance with all University regulations, ordinances, policies and procedures, governance and constitutional frameworks, seeking guidance from your line manager where appropriate.

This role will suit applicants who are highly organised, proactive, with a strong eye for detail and able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines, anticipating problems which may arise. The role will involve working closely with a range of academic and professional service staff from across the Faculty and University. The ability to form effective working relationships and gain an understanding of academic programmes and regulations is essential.

Typical tasks within the remit of the role holder will include scheduling and supporting meetings, working closely with committee members and producing minutes to a high standard; monitoring Outlook email boxes and receiving telephone enquiries; providing cross cover for the other Assistants in the Team when required, updating and uploading documentation utilising a variety of internal systems and supporting the Student Cases function.

The successful candidate will be fully conversant with a range of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Teams) and will receive training on other systems such as the University intranet and Canvas hub.
