We have an opportunity for a part-time Domestic Abuse Practitioner / IDVA in our Harrogate & Craven team on a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave. You will help ensure that people who are subject to or have been subject to domestic abuse receive high quality support, advice and information to enhance their safety and to help them recover the harmful impacts of abuse. To complete risk assessments and carry out effective safety planning with individuals ensuring that appropriate action is taken to reduce harm to them and to their wider support / family networks. You will also work to build positive relationships with a range of health professionals to ensure that they know how to recognise domestic abuse and refer to IDAS services.
