Position: Fire Control Centre Officer
Location: London Bridge
Pay Rate: £14.41 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days & NIghts

Job Requirements:

SIA CCTV Licence required
SIA Door Supervisor licence would be a bonus
Strong IT ability – including Excel, Word, Outlook
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of local area
Excellent levels of customer service at all times
Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
To have a smart appearance befitting the company
Good organisational skills, flexibility and reliability
First Aid trained is a bonus
Be fully aware of current CCTV policies and data protection requirements

Duties:

The officer at all times, carry out their duties and responsibilities to comply with policies/procedures.
To respond to all incidents within 12a Hays gelleria, taking ownership of the situation through to its natural conclusion to both client and management satisfaction.
Effective communication with the Control Room Manager and Duty security manager and escalate any issues as required or necessary.
Assist the area 3 supervisor in the fire command centre and issue access passes, keys & radios and ensure that the issue logs are kept up to date & report any anomalies to the area 3 Supervisor.
Carry out varying administrative tasks as directed by the management team.
Action access control requests from the Intercom at varying entry points on the estate.
Maintain the daily occurrence log (DOB) to ensure all incidents and occurrences are up to date.
Be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly.
Direct any telephone enquiries or messages to the relevant person or department
Answer enquires received on the intercom and action access requests from various locations as required.
Action and communicate fire alarms as received in the fire command centre
Answer and transfer telephone calls
Action permit and access requests
Ensure officers are on post and that positions are not down manned without authorisation.
In the absence of the Area 3 Supervisor send out MINS or ENIPs as and when required with the parameters set out in operating procedures and as directed by the client.
Follow protocols for maintain the security of the Fire Command Centre and its facilities.
At all times the post holder must maintain and respect the security and sensitivity of the service. Comply with the adopted Code of Practice and service operational procedures at times, breaches of which will result in disciplinary action being taken.
Any other duties which are equal or similar to the responsibility level and the grade of the post
Ensure accurate records are maintained of all equipment, including Radios, BWCs and ensure that all officers on the estate are correctly equipped.
Maintain the Fire Command Centre visitor logs
To monitor and operate communication with Security Officers (When required).
To manage and organise all onsite duties, so that operational needs are met.
Operationally assist and support the Security Team as required - Organise Security to attend to alarm activations and incidents on shift.
Ensure a thorough handover is conducted with the FCC officer of the previous shift.

The roles will cover arrange of internal & external duties, inclusive but not limited to
Safeguarding the premises, people and assets within the estate, Excellent Customer Service, CCTV Surveillance, Security Systems knowledge, Internal & External Patrolling, Fire Marshalling duties, banksman duties, Incident Management, First Aid, Concierge Duties, Reception cover, Maintaining access and egress for emergency vehicles at all times, Ensuring entrances and exits are not blocked or access restricted and providing a 5* service to the public and clients.
