Trainee CAD Technician
Doncaster, DN9 3GN

  • Full time, Monday – Friday (8:30am- 5pm)
  • Permanent position
  • Salary up to £22,500 dependent on experience

Our client is one of the country’s largest utility surveying companies. Having been established for nearly 30 years, they have gained a reputation for excellence within the utility surveying sector. They are specialists in locating underground pipes and cables for utility companies, civil engineers, consulting engineers, construction companies & local authorities.

The role

As a Trainee CAD Technician, you’ll work closely with experienced managers, learning the ropes of CAD production while contributing to a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to survey teams to ensure drawings meet company standards and deadlines
  • Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental Safety, and safe working practices in all tasks
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining company drawing standards
  • Review and recommend improvements to drawing standards
  • Quality check all drawings before they are released to clients
  • Report daily progress and feedback to the CAD Office Manager
  • Develop expertise in drawing completion standards
  • Provide on-site support as needed
