We are now recruiting for a Stores Operative to provide immediate and proactive support to all cells and production areas, ensuring material replenishment direct to the Point of Use, with minimal disruption to the flow.

In addition to this as our Stores Operative you will be responsible for:

* Ensuring that goods are booked in, processed and dispatched on-time.
* Ensuring inventory levels are maintained in line with company targets, stock accuracy greater than 98%.
* Performing any decanting operations deemed necessary to present material in a ready to use state.
* Carrying out any transportation and associated work relating to our processes.
* Pick and kit WOs accurately and in a timely manner.
* Dispatching product, coordinating the packers, assisting with the loading of lorries and carrying out all necessary paperwork.
* Ensuring that stock is appropriately secured.

In order to be successful in this role it's essential that you have:

* Experience working in a Stores and / or Material handler role.
* Computer literacy, with basic skills in Outlook, Word and Excel.
* Experience in the use of an ERP system for inventory management.
* High levels of motivation and enthusiasm.
* Ability to work on your own initiative.

It would be great if you had:

* Experience working in a pressure team environment.
* Ability to understand and develop efficient systems and working practices.
* Ability to operate cutting equipment.
* Forklift driver's license is desirable.
* A working knowledge of lean principles such as 5S, this is a distinct advantage.
* Experience working with kanbans, DLF and VOMI
