Job Title: Security Officer (48+ hours per week)

Location: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Job Summary:

As a Security Officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of everyone at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This means patrolling the hospital, responding to emergencies, and helping patients and visitors. The job can be demanding, but it's also very rewarding.

What You'll Do:

-Protect: Keep the hospital, staff, patients, and visitors safe.

-Respond: Handle security incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.

-Patrol: Regularly walk around the hospital and grounds.

-Monitor: CCTV cameras and the Control room.

-Prevent: Stop crime, vandalism, and unauthorized access.

-Help: Assist patients and visitors with directions or other needs.

-Calm: De-escalate situations involving agitated or distressed people (Training provided).

-Report: Keep detailed records of everything that happens.

Communicate: Work closely with hospital staff, the police, and others.

What You Need:

Essential:

-A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor license.

-Great communication and people skills.

-Ability to work well in a team and on your own.

-Be physically fit and able to respond quickly in emergencies.

-Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
