Due to a massive increase in demand, TeacherActive are looking for SEND and SEMH specialist Qualified Teachers for our amazing schools in Sheffield. We have flexible and part-time roles as well as full-time roles available.

The role will be delivering an engaging cross-curricular timetable and requires a versatile SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities teacher, in specific working with ASD, SMEH, PDA and MLD. Our schools follow unique curriculum’s that has a focus on working to each student’s needs, making objects, interacting with nature, and sensory activity.

Our schools have dedicated teams who provide fantastic support to the children. The students are vulnerable and need that little bit of extra support and guidance, you will need to be patient and caring with strong boundaries.

The ideal SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities teacher will have:

QTS/PGCE/ Cert Ed or other relevant teaching qualifications
• Have experience of working with young people with differing needs and destination aims, and developing appropriate strategies to help them achieve their goals
• The ability to follow the National Curriculum and provide creative lessons
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with practical approach to engaging pupils
• The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils
• Fantastic classroom management
