Summary


Apprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognized qualification while completing on the job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to perform in the job role. You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.



For this role you will undertake a 22-month development programme in Business Administration within Accident and Emergency through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Successfully completing the training programme will lead to an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.



This position is on a fixed term contract with the opportunity to become permanent once the qualification is successfully completed and achieved.



Apprenticeships require candidates to be resident in the UK for at least 3 years at the start of their apprenticeship.

To manage the administrational support duties for designated medical staff for the emergency department providing an efficient and effective, administrative and secretarial service. The post holder must provide all administration support for all the doctors and consultants and senior management.

To undertake a 22-month development programme in Business Administration within the Accident and Emergency department through work based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Supervision and support will be provided during all tasks, enabling the apprentice to work within the organization to gain experience, confidence and to deliver effective and safe patient focused support, to the designated team.

Successfully completing the training programme will lead to an Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification.

Based within a busy office environment the role of an Apprentice is to provide a comprehensive and effective administrative service to support the smooth and efficient running of the department. This will include supporting the A& E team in a full range of admin duties, dealing with telephone and face to face queries in a professional and courteous manner

Responsible for providing a confidential, professional, efficient and responsive administrative support service to the ED Consultants, and Senior Nurses and Senior Team Members within the Emergency Department and contribute to the smooth functioning of the systems underpinning the service.
